Viral growth continues
The datafree Moya App now has 4.5 million MAUs (monthly active users) in South Africa, with 57% active every day (2.5 million DAUs).
New user registrations have accelerated past 30,000 new signups per day after the recent Facebook announcement about changes to WhatsApp privacy and data sharing policies.
On current viral growth trends Moya will reach:
- 5 million MAUs in South Africa in March 2021
- 9 million MAUs by December 2021
- 15 million MAUs by December 2022.
A number of significant new feature developments are in progress for integration into the Moya super-app over coming months including voice & video calling, datafree marketplace and a fully compliant mobile wallet / payments platform that will further accelerate growth.
